Nashville Rally in Support of Israel Set For Friday

A rally in support of Israel is set to be held this week at Legislative Plaza in Nashville.

The rally, hosted by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), will be held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Friday. The rally will feature special guest speakers including state representatives, senators, pastors, rabbis, music artists, and community leaders.

The following speakers have since been confirmed to be present at Friday’s event:

  • Pastor L. Barrington Allen, Founder & President of Total Life Victory
  • Daryl Hedding, ICEJ & Shai Fund
  • Dan Horowitz, CEO of the Nashville Jewish Federation.
  • Pastor Tony Crisp
  • State Senator Mark Pody (R-Lebanon)
  • State Reprsentative Ryan Williams (R-Cookeville)
  • Rabbi Saul Strosberg, Sherith Israel

ICEJ urges those planning on attending the rally to only bring clear plastic handbags as no backpacks are allowed. In addition, the organization encourages attendees to arrive one hour before the rally is scheduled to begin to clear security. Gates open for the rally at noon.

The organization encourages attendees to bring U.S. and Israeli flags to the rally.

The rally is intended for Jewish and Christian communities to “come together in unity to stand with Israel.”

Friday’s upcoming event comes after two straight weekends of pro-Palestine rallies in Nashville hosted by the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), as previously reported by The Tennessee Star.

Middle Tennessee DSA joined a long list of leftist organizations in pledging its support for the terrorist group Hamas and condemning Israel’s right to defend itself amid the terrorist attack on the country nearly three weeks ago on October 7.

Hamas killed more than 1,400 individuals and took approximately 220 hostages due to the October 7 attack. One hostage released by the terrorist group this week – an 85-year-old grandmother – described her kidnapping as “going through hell.”

The rally site is Legislative Plaza (i.e., State property). The Governor should make it one of his first orders of business tomorrow (Thursday,10-26-23) to see to it that there is adequate State Police/Capitol Police protection for those who attend the rally the next day (Friday, 10-27-23). Hopefully State Police protection will not be needed. But I would not depend upon Metro Police alone to provide protection to the rally participants—Metro Police work for Nashville’s new Marxist Democrat Mayor. The Marxist Democrats support Hamas. The radical leftists who support Hamas have been known to just show up at pro-Israel rallies and then attack their peacefully rallying opponents. Just assume that some of the Hamas supporters will be the same people as ANTIFA.
